A very exciting project, inserting a landmark building in to a dense part of Whitechapel. This area has seen it's fair share of the action, from Jack the Ripper to aerial bombardment, from slum housing to very desirable location. This chequered history has left a diverse streetscape of housing developments, warehouses, shops, offices and vacant sites.
Our building makes use of a long vacant site to provide a development comprising 6 flats and a dental facility. While the developable volume is governed by the surrounding buildings, the design is no shrinking violet. It's curvaceous and colourful, clad in dichroic glass and prismatic laminate panels. The flats all have balconies with stunning views over the City of London.
