T-Space are excited to confirm works are progressing on the extension to a host property located in a local Conservation Area. This scheme was hard won at planning, however our design solution offers an alternative to what could have been a pastiche extension looking to ape the existing elevation.
We think our clients feedback, at the point at which we secured planning consent, says it all;
’Just wanted to reiterate the below, we are hugely appreciative of all your time and effort and also absolutely thrilled to have had this result which is very much down to the team so THANK YOU! Means so much to us to be able to stay in the house we came home to when our daughter was born, and to stay in a community we love so she can go to school round the corner - really means the world. We can’t thank you enough…’
Notwithstanding the fact it is not locally listed (it is a non-designated heritage asset), the current house is considered to be a charming and valuable addition to the area. Its preservation is key, therefore we have looked to design an extension that enhances the property and site, having due respect for clear conservation principles.
The current house is 91m2 and the new extension will add 49m2, for a new total of 140m2. This will allow for an additional bedroom at first floor, enlarging the home from a 2-bed into a 3-bed house.
