— Working away at pace!

Work on site is moving at pace for this client's project.

The site comprises of a large detached two-storey house with attic that is located in a north east London Conservation Area. The exterior is a red brick ground floor storey with white rendered first floor, clay tile hipped roof with front gable.

Our brief was to improve the circulation arrangement and create fit for purpose layouts on all floors by relocating the stairs and extending to the front, side and rear of the building in a traditional aesthetic consistent with the character of the wider Conservation Area. The extended house will have a double fronted design, similar to other properties in the immediate area.

The proposed front right-hand bay would extend over two floors be gabled and create a recessed entrance and grander hall for the new staircase. The single storey side extension will extend 0.85m from the existing front line of the garage and a further 1 metre deeper from the rear out building.

The site’s green character and large front and rear gardens will be preserved and the quality of the landscaping enhanced further with a new 15 x 3 metre outdoor swimming pool in the rear garden.
