Originally built as a pub, this had already been converted into flats. However, our client felt sure that more was possible, despite previous rejections and an unsuccessful appeal.
T-Space reassessed the potential of the building to create four large duplex apartments, and resolved the conservation issues by dropping the top floor level and creating a mansard level that is almost invisible behind the original parapet.
The enhanced space is matched by a corresponding uplift in detail. The building has been sympathetically overhauled in order to reinstate character, both inside and out. The detailed restoration of the façade is matched by interiors more usually seen in private homes. The final product is a development that oozes quality and elegance.
