A quaint old Victorian pub in London, protected by a tightly controlled conservation area had proven no longer viable as a business. Considering the context of the site, T-Space produced a scheme to convert the existing building into two, three bedroom family dwellings and introduce a row of three, terraced town houses to the rear as an infill development.
The existing building needed some careful demolition at the rear to release some of its footprint and comply with amenity space requirements. By lobbying the local conservation officer and negotiating with the council’s planning department, we were granted consent to alter the old pub and release the potential in the site.
